Winter Storm Information

Due to the predicted snow accumulation, Middletown Township will declare a Snow Emergency starting this evening, January 26, 2015 at 6:00pm.  All vehicles are to be removed from the streets until 24 hours after the snow ends.  Stay off the roads during the Snow Emergency.

Middletown Township is opening the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) tonight at 8:00pm.  The EOC will remain open until the conclusion of the storm. In case of emergency, call 911.  For non emergency questions relating to the storm, please call the EOC (215) 750-3808.

Streets are plowed in the following order:  First the main roads are cleared to allow safe passage of emergency vehicles.  Next, connector or through streets are plowed, followed by residential streets and cul-de-sacs.  Stand clear when plow trucks pass. These are large, heavy vehicles that do not stop easily and have limited visibility, especially during snowfall. Do not shovel, plow, or blow snow into the street.  Clear snow away from fire hydrants that may abut your property, so fire fighters have clear and ready access in case of a fire emergency.

In case of a power outage, call PECO at 1-800-841-4141 to report the outage.  Do not call 911 for a power outage.  Visit PECO's website at www.PECO.com for the latest information on power outages and service restoration.

Check on elderly relatives and neighbors to make sure they are safe and do not require assistance.

**PLEASE NOTE** Waste Management is suspending trash and recycling pickup for Tuesday, January 27, 2015.  They will pick up the Tuesday trash and recycling on Wednesday.

Follow Police and Emergency Management on Twitter, Nixle and Facebook for updates throughout the storm.
