Beechwood & LCPL Harry J. Simmons Jr. Memorial Park Master Site Plan Project

Middletown Township was awarded a grant from the PA Department of Conservation & Natural Resources to create master site plans for Beechwood Park & LCPL Harry J. Simmons, Jr. Memorial Park (formerly Veterans Park.) The process of creating master site plans is to give the community the opportunity to examine a park in great detail & create a future vision for the park that improves its appearance, its value to the neighborhood & its functionality. The Board of Supervisors appointed Schoor DePalma Engineers as the project consultants. A study committee, comprised of residents who live near each of the parks & park user groups, met with the consultant several times during the planning process to identify the issues & attributes of each location. An environmental study of both parks was completed & public input was received by holding public meetings & interviewing key people in the community about the parks.

Listed below are links to additional information regarding this important project. Any questions regarding this project can be directed to the Parks & Recreation Department.
